About Palletline Logistics

Background

Palletline plc was established in 1992 and is the original hub and spoke based pallet distribution system. The original founders of the Palletline network (Bob Russett, Colin Sturgess, John Watt and Ken Hackling) also formed Palletline Logistics in 1993.

Palletline Logistics

The company grew rapidly and expanded its fleet and services, providing part and full load distribution to complement the Palletline work.

Palletline Logistics continued to achieve healthy growth. In 1995, investment in added warehousing space allowed the company to add storage solutions to its portfolio, further enhancing services for customers. In 2006, Bob Russett (co-founder and Chairman of the Palletline network from 1993 to 2005) purchased Palletline Logistics from his three partners.

Expanding the Business

Also in 2006 Bob bought the warehousing and storage interests of Telford-based UK Tran-stor in a move which gave him the opportunity to significantly expand transportation and logistics potential for the business.

In January 2007 the company changed its name from Palletline Distribution Ltd to Palletline Logistics (Midlands) Ltd, reflecting more accurately the changing focus of the business as a logistics company.

Palletline Logistics plans to expand warehousing space, fleet and road haulage services even further, whilst maintaining and growing the pallet delivery service through Palletline – the world’s most mature and widely respected pallet network.
